Biography
My passion for painting
began at age 13 when I took a class my uncle was teaching in basic oil
painting. Since then I have developed my personal style using oil and
acrylic paints on canvas and wall murals employing various dry brush
techniques.
I enjoy being creative and
enthusiastically experiment with many different styles that convey from
portraits to landscapes - in many times intertwined abstractly. I am
inspired by life and nature around me.
My art has been shown in several different businesses over the years, to view paintings go to online Gallery.
I have donated work to silent auctions to benefit the Hope Springs
cancer charity in Ontario for three years and also a local fundraiser
auction to help a Salt Spring school's art program.
Since moving to Salt
Spring Island, I have been inspired to paint more landscapes, but
ultimately I enjoy sculpting the abstract visions that spill out of my
head and onto the canvas. Exploring the subconscious imagery with
light and colour as well as creating abstract views of the British
Columbia landscape are both things I feel compelled to do. The end result is something I hope others can enjoy as much as I do.
